Faculty Support

The demand for innovative and enthusiastic faculty is very high in this country. Your donation can help Indiana State be more competitive in attracting and retaining superb teacher-scholars that are national and world renown. Gifts allow us to provide endowed chairs and professorships that provide salaries comparable to those in other research institutions.

Dr. Tony Rathburn, Associate professor of geology at ISU, conducts extensive research on deep sea ecological and biogeochemical activity relating to environmental changes. With the support of individuals like Dr. William T. Burke, Dr. Rathburn has been able to extend the scope of his research, travel to the ocean floor, and include the help of ISU students. Rathburn’s passion and dedication to his research has provided countless students the motivation and hands-on education they need to be leaders in the field.
