Student Support

Each year, Indiana State receives applications from worthy students whose families are of modest financial means. We have a high percentage of students who are first generation college students; they are the first in their family to go to college. By investing in the next generation of students through support for undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships, you can make a huge impact on someone’s life.

Daniel Lucky, president of Abrams College, graduated from Indiana State University in May 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. At his Commencement ceremony, Lucky donated a gift to fund scholarships for third-year male Indiana State nursing students. “I want to help men in nursing stay in the field and continue their education,” Lucky said. “There are so many opportunities in nursing.”

Annual Fund Scholarship Recipient

Ashlee Hull

Sophomore
Majors:  Marketing and Business Administration
Terre Haute, IN

For Ashlee, Indiana State is "the right fit," providing a first-rate academic environment with professors who really want to help. She also knows the impact alumni support can have on an ISU student.

"Through information shared by one of my business professors, I applied and received a scholarship through the ISU Foundation that is a huge blessing for me and to my family. Because of alumni support and the ISU Annual Fund, I can focus on my classes this year instead of worrying about work hours to help pay for my tuition and books.

I also have time to explore other opportunities on campus, like volunteering as a mentor through an outreach program at a local elementary school and remaining active in the student chapter of the American Marketing Association. And, I can continue to get first-hand experience in my major working with the University Career Center's marketing team, a job I held during the summer.

When I graduate, I will be confident and ready to enter the work force thanks to my education at Indiana State. Thank you for helping make that possible through your support of the ISU Annual Fund."
