Indiana State students and programs benefit from donors who make an in-kind gift to the University. Gifts in-kind are often donations of property or marketable assets. Your gift of real estate, art, books, equipment, furnishings, software or other types or property is a tax-deductible gift to the ISU Foundation. The ISU Foundation accepts in-kind gifts on behalf of the University.
To receive charitable gift credit for your in-kind gift, the IRS requires all donors to determine the fair market value of the gift for individual, foundation or corporate tax reporting purposes.
The ISU Foundation recognizes the donor for the value of the in-kind gift without referencing or receipting a specific dollar amount. Donors making an in-kind gift will be provided with a gift receipt including a description of the donated property only.
The Gift In-Kind Form must accompany all in-kind gifts.
